VLADIMIR AND MANORS OF VLADIMIR DOMAIN

2 days/1 night

Journey through the land of Vladimir will be informative and enjoyable. The first stop will be in the manor of Andreevskoe. Elegant architectural and park ensemble in classical style was formed mainly in 1770-1790. under count Vorontsov, the head of one of the most famous noble families. His children and grandchildren left significant marks in the history of Russia. Granddaughter of the founder, Princess E.R. Vorontsov-Dashkova will play an important role in the enthronement of Catherine II and later become the president of the Russian Academy and Academy of Sciences; and his grandson will serve many years as the permanent ambassador of Russia in England and defend the interests of his country. Further, our path lies through Vladimir - one of the oldest cities in Russia, with the richest history and amazing sights. We will finish the first day at the foot of the Church of the Pokrova on the Nerl, admiring the sunset.
We will spend the night in Gus-Khrustalny. The city itself owes its appearance to the Oryol merchant A. Maltsov, who founded a crystal factory here in 1756, with the production of highly artistic products from glass. We will view the best samples the next day at the Crystal Museum. Unique lock, so atypical for the Russian manor, will appear before us in the village of Muromtsevo. Manor ensemble was built by the order of Khrapovitskiy in the middle of the XIX century, immitating the European medieval castles.
The final chord of our trip will be a visit to Orekhovo, where the Museum-estate of the founder of aerodynamics N.Е. Zhukovsky (1847-1921) is located. Cozy wooden house, located in a picturesque park, with kept alive setting of the genius scientist. Herbal tea with pancakes in the cozy dining room of the manor house will be a pleasant completion of our journey.
