PALACES AND MANORS OF ST. PETERSBURG AND ITS FAUBOURGS

2 days/1 night

We start our journey in St. Petersburg with a tour to the recently opened after restoration Mikhailovsky Castle, the residence of Paul I, built in the form of a defensive structure, which did not save Emperor Paul from a violent death.
After lunch, we will take a pleasant walk in the Summer Garden, founded by Peter I on Usaditsa Island, and learn curious facts about lifes of historical characters. Then the park beauty will be replaced by the refined interiors of the Beloselsky-Belozersky and Yusupov palaces.
In 1830 the palace is acquired B.N. Yusupov and he turns it into a luxurious residence. After a tour of the palaces, we go to the country estate of the Stroganov-Golitsyns, where we will spend the evening and night in a beautifully restored and very hospitable manor.
After breakfast, we take a look at Tosno surroundings. We have lunch in St. Petersburg. The second half of the day we will spend on walks and travels around the northern outskirts of St. Petersburg's Shuvalov-Ozerki, learn the history of St. Petersburg cottages on the Suzdal Lakes, walk along the Shuvalov manor park, visit the old cemetery.
