Day 1

Arrival at the airport "Zvartnots". Transfer to the hotel. Sightseeing tour of the Armenian capital. Yerevan is one of the oldest cities in the world, it was founded in 2782 BC. as Urartian fortress Erebuni. We will explore the city center from the panoramic platform in Victory Park near the “Mother Armenia” monument, drive along the central sites of Mesrop Mashtots and Marshal Baghramian, we will see the historic Abovyan street and, of course, Republic Square decorated with an ensemble of buildings decorated with pink and yellow tuff. The decoration of the facades of buildings with tuff distinguishes Yerevan among other world capitals. We will see the St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral, built in 2001 on the anniversary of the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity by Armenia and visit the Memorial Complex of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 Tsitsernakaberd. In Yerevan, we will have an excursion to the Ararat brandy factory, during which we will learn many interesting things about the history of Armenian brandy and taste its best varieties.

Day 2

Breakfast in the hotel. We will visit the monastery complex Khor Virap at the very foot of the Biblical Mount Ararat. There is a dungeon, where Gregory the Illuminator, the first Catholic of the Armenian Church, spent 13 years in prison. The pacifying landscapes of the Ararat valley with its orchards and vineyards will be replaced by mountainous areas of the south of the country, where the Noravank Monastery is located with wondrous bas-reliefs and khachkars surrounded by rocky gorges. In Noravank you can see a unique sculptural image of God the Father by the master Momik and the wonderful two-tier church Surb Astvatsatsin. One of the most important regions of traditional winemaking in Armenia is the village of Areni. It is here that the same endemic grape variety is being cultivated. In Areni, we will visit a cave where the world's oldest wine vessels, the crucians, were found. We will explore the vineyards and cellars of one of the local wineries Hin Areni and taste its best wines. Return to Yerevan.

Day 3

Breakfast in the hotel. We will find ourselves on the slopes of the highest mountain of modern Armenia - Aragats, which adorns the crown of four peaks. Here, we will see the 13th century Saghmosavank Monastery, located on the edge of the magnificent canyon of the Kasakh river. Along the winding serpentine we climb to a height of almost 2000 m, where among the clouds a nest of mountain eagles, like a nest, stands on a rocky promontory on three sides surrounded by bottomless canyons Amberd fortress - an impregnable medieval castle. And when we descend, we will visit the Armenia Wines winery: in the village of Sasunik we will explore the vineyards and cellars, learn about the varieties of Armenian grapes that are cultivated here and taste the famous varieties of wines accompanied by local cheeses. Return to Yerevan.

Day 4

Day 5

Breakfast in the hotel. We will have a unique opportunity to visit the traditional Armenian market, where we can get delicious souvenirs. It is no wonder to get confused at the sight of a huge selection of fresh and dried fruits filled with generous Armenian sun, fragrant mountain herbs and fresh juicy greens, tart authentic cheeses and delicious meat delicacies. But hospitable sellers will be happy to help guests and will definitely offer to try whatever they want. Today we will visit Noy Brandy Factory, where we will go down to the ancient cellars, where even unique tunnels have remained, leading to other parts of the city, which were used to transport grapes on donkeys more than 100 years ago. We will taste the best cognacs of the plant and the Madera wine of 1924. Transfer to Zvartnots airport.
